Strategic & Thematic Highlights

The game consists of a trunk and base, plus a pile of identical wooden leaf pieces with slotted ends. Players must insert a leaf using a two-slot side, sloping upward, leaving the four-slot side outward for further attachments. You may touch and rotate the assembly while placing, but as soon as a leaf touches another it must be fixed firmly. If any leaves fall (not including the trunk), they may be reattached; but if the trunk or main structure collapses, the game ends. The winner is the player who made the last successful placement before the fall. In a rare case where all leaves are placed, you may optionally remove and reattach a leaf to continue the challenge. Despite its simplicity, Offshoots demands fine motor control and nerves of steel-especially as the tree grows and the slightest misstep can bring the whole thing crashing down.
