Legiones Astartes Battle Group

This Legiones Astartes boxed set is an ideal way to start a new army or expand an existing collection for games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. Built around a strong core of power-armoured infantry and supported by heavy armour, it provides a versatile force for loyalist or traitor commanders.

The army includes MkIV Tactical Legionaries and MkIV Assault Legionaries, giving you both objective-holding infantry and aggressive jump pack troops. They are backed up by a Sicaran Battle Tank and a Contemptor Dreadnought, adding speed, durability, and heavy firepower to your Horus Heresy army.

A Balanced Horus Heresy Army Set

Taken together, the models in this box form a flexible Legiones Astartes force with infantry, assault troops, a battle tank, and a Dreadnought. The Tactical Legionaries provide a reliable core for holding ground, while the Assault Legionaries can pressure enemy positions and strike where they are needed most.

The Sicaran Battle Tank brings mobile armoured fire support, and the Contemptor Dreadnought adds a powerful centrepiece unit with a wide range of weapon options. This makes the set a strong choice for building a new Horus Heresy army or adding a substantial reinforcement to an existing Legion.

MkIV Tactical Legionaries

The MkIV Tactical Squad kit includes a wide range of build options. You can build up to two Sergeants, each armed with a plasma pistol and a choice of power fist, lightning claw, or power sword. Two Legionaries can be built with a nuncio-vox, and another two can carry a back-mounted Vexilla.

The kit includes 20 interchangeable helmeted heads, 12 bare heads, and 36 shoulder pads. It is also compatible with the included Horus Heresy Tactical Marine accessory frames, giving you even more options for personalising your force. The kit can alternatively be built as a Veteran Tactical Squad.

MkIV Assault Legionaries

The MkIV Assault Squad includes parts to build a Sergeant with a choice of dual power fists, dual power claws, or a power fist or power claw paired with a bolt pistol. The kit also includes a selection of interchangeable parts and upgrades for customising the squad.

Sicaran Battle Tank

The Sicaran Battle Tank is equipped with turret-mounted accelerator autocannons, a hull-mounted heavy bolter, and a pair of sponson weapons. The sponsons can be built with your choice of heavy bolters, heavy flamers, lascannons, or volkite culverins.

The kit also includes components to upgrade the vehicle with a pintle-mounted weapon. Options include a havoc launcher, heavy bolter, heavy flamer, multi-melta, or a combi-weapon with five configurations: bolter, flamer, melta, plasma, or volkite.

Additional Sicaran options include a searchlight, hunter-killer missile, towing hooks, dozer blade, and a choice of Space Marine gunner, spotter, or closed hatch.

Contemptor Dreadnought

The Contemptor Dreadnought includes eight different ranged weapons to choose from. Each ranged weapon can be mounted on either of the Contemptor’s arms, giving you plenty of freedom when building your Dreadnought for your preferred battlefield role.

The kit also includes two melee fists, each of which can be built as either a Gravis power fist or Gravis chainfist. These can include an in-built combi-bolter, graviton gun, heavy flamer, meltagun, or plasma blaster.

The Contemptor can also be built with a hull-mounted havoc launcher or a head-mounted helical targeting array. Additional cosmetic options include two heads, four carapace designs, a choice of claws or fingers for the power fists, plus scrollwork and tilting shield accessories.

Suitable For Any Legion

These miniatures have no Legion-specific markings, making them suitable for any Legiones Astartes force. They can be used for armies loyal to the Emperor or for traitor Legions fighting alongside Horus in the Age of Darkness.

Transfers Included

The box includes two Legiones Astartes Infantry Transfer Sheets and two Legiones Astartes Vehicle Transfer Sheets. Each infantry transfer sheet features 618 high-quality waterslide transfers, while each vehicle transfer sheet features 210 high-quality waterslide transfers.

These transfers include icons and markings for the Sons of Horus, Iron Warriors, Salamanders, and Imperial Fists Legions, allowing you to decorate your infantry, Dreadnought, and vehicles for your chosen force.
