Laden with large amounts of heavy armour, and as many guns as the Orks can conceivably fit on it's abused chassis and remain airborne, the Fighta Bomber is a mish mash of parts cobbled together by a particularly inspired Mek continually changing his mind how the plane should look.
As a result, Fighta-bommers are ramshackle affairs that defy the laws of aerodynamics and can sustain an extraordinary amount of fire before going down, unwieldy as they are in a dogfight.
